Tigers manager Jim Leyland indicated Friday that Victor Martinez could be an option to start behind the plate in Game 6 of the ALCS on Saturday if Alex Avila isn't ready to go. Avila suffered a strained knee in a collision at home plate in Thursday's loss to the Red Sox in Game 5. He's listed as day-to-day, and the team will wait and see how he feels on Saturday before making a decision. Martinez caught just three games during the 2013 season.
