Matt Cain has been shut down for the remainder of the 2013 season. Guillermo Moscoso will get the ball in Sunday's season finale against the Padres in his place. Giants skipper Bruce Bochy was quick to add that there was nothing wrong with Cain, he simply wanted to give him a break after his enormous workload the past eight seasons. He finishes his 2013 campaign a highly disappointing 8-10 with a 4.00 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 158/55 K/BB ratio over 184 1/3 innings of work.
