Andrew Cashner racked up seven strikeouts and didn't allow an earned run in seven innings against the Dodgers on Sunday, but suffered a tough-luck loss after an error led to an unearned run crossing the plate in his final inning of work. Cashner scattered just four hits on the day and didn't walk a batter. Unfortunately for him, the Padres offense was completely shut down by Zack Greinke and company. The 27-year-old right-hander has really come into his own in recent weeks, posting a 0.81 ERA, 0.74 WHIP and 38/7 K/BB ratio over his last six starts, spanning 44 2/3 innings. He'll look to finish the season on a high note when he takes on the Giants in San Francisco on Saturday.
