Brandon McCarthy surrendered three runs on 10 hits over six innings in a victory against the Dodgers on Wednesday. He struck out three and walked zero. McCarthy has notched three consecutive quality starts. The right-hander has yielded two runs or less in five of nine starts since he was activated from the disabled list on August 4, though he obviously came up a little short this evening. McCarthy will take a 5-9 record and 4.57 ERA into his next start on Monday in San Diego.
