Andrew Cashner held the Phillies to two runs over 7 2/3 innings in the Padres' 8-2 win on Tuesday. Cashner actually only allowed one run on his watch, but Dale Thayer allowed an inherited run to score in relief of the right-hander. Cashner struck out seven while giving up just four hits and a walk. He's been absolutely terrific over his last four starts, allowing four earned runs over 28 2/3 innings. The Padres are using a six-man rotation from here out, so Cashner's next start won't come until Monday at the Pirates.
