Jeremy Affeldt (groin) threw off a mound on Saturday. It's the first time he's done so since landing on the DL over a month ago with a strained groin. Affeldt's next step hasn't been determined yet, but it's reasonable to assume that he could be activated early next month as long as he can avoid a setback.
