The Phillies and Chase Utley have reached agreement on a two-year contract extension, according to CSN's Jim Salisbury. Utley is batting a nice .275/.336/.505 through 342 plate appearances, posting his highest OPS since he registered .905 in 2009. Financial terms have not yet been disclosed, but CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reported last week that the deal would pay Utley around $13 million per season. The extension is said to be modeled after Carlos Beltran's two-year, $26 million contract with the Cardinals.
