Reds placed C Ryan Hanigan on the 15-day disabled list with a sprained left wrist. Hanigan has been bothered by the wrist injury since last week. He tried playing through it but that only made matters worse. Devin Mesoraco will get the majority of playing time at catcher for the next few weeks. Corky Miller has been recalled to back up Mesoraco.
