Nationals optioned 1B Chris Marrero to Triple-A Syracuse. The 24-year-old only garnered 16 at-bats during his time with the Nationals, going 2-for-16 with an RBI and four strikeouts. He'll continue to serve as organizational depth in the minor leagues, and should have another chance as a bench bat with the Nats later in the season.
