Phillies released RHP Aaron Cook. The Phillies had until Tuesday to add Cook to the 25-man roster or pay a $100,000 retention bonus to send him to the minors. However, they have allowed him to test the free agent market. The 24-year-old had a 5.65 ERA and 20/21 K/BB ratio over 94 innings with the Red Sox last season.
