Blue Jays avoided arbitration with C Josh Thole by agreeing to a two-year, $2.5 million contract. The deal also includes a $1.75 million club option for a third year. The owner of a career .261/.331/.333 batting line, Thole will back up J.P. Arencibia in 2013.
