Tigers optioned SS Hernan Perez to High-A Lakeland. Perez was added to the 40-man roster this offseason in order to avoid the Rule 5 draft, but he's nowhere near major league-ready. He batted .258/.314/.364 batting line with eight homers and 23 steals for Low-A West Michigan last season.
