J.D. Drew was given a cortisone shot in his fractured middle finger on Monday afternoon. The Red Sox are hoping the pain-killing injection will help Drew accelerate his rehab. He's been on the disabled list since late July -- first with a left shoulder injury, and now with a broken right middle finger. There's no timetable for his return.
