Mariners manager Lloyd McClendon expects Hernandez to start Sunday against the Angels, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports. "That could change, but as we speak now, I fully expect him to pitch," McClendon said Wednesday. Hernandez turned in his worst start of the year Tuesday, giving up eight runs in just 4.2 innings against Toronto, the same number of runs he'd given up in his previous five starts combined. However, with the M's still mathematically alive for the second AL wild card spot, McClendon expects to start the right-hander in the regular-season finale. He'll make his final case to fend off Chris Sale and Corey Kluber for the AL Cy Young award.
