Pagan (back) will have surgery on Thursday, and it will require a three-month rehab, CSN Bay Area's Andrew Baggarly reports. Manager Bruce Bochy said there was no use in trying to get Pagan healthy enough for him to contribute in the postseason, as the injury needed surgery. Gregor Blanco will continue to see most of the starts in center field and will bat leadoff. The Giants have a variety of underwhelming options in left field, including Chris Dominguez, Juan C. Perez and Gary Brown. Those in single-season leagues can officially cut ties with Pagan, but it sounds like he'll be fully recovered in time for spring training next year.
