Smith is out of the lineup Monday against the Rockies. With the Rockies bringing lefty Tyler Matzek to the mound Monday, Smith will give way to Tommy Medica in left field. Thanks to manager Bud Black's favorable usage of him, Smith has managed to maintain a useful .266/.370/.444 line over his 428 at-bats this season.
