Hamilton has been diagnosed with rib cage inflammation, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports. With Hamilton reporting trouble breathing in recent days, the Angels decided to send him for a CT scan on his abdominal area. Fortunately, only inflammation was found, but it's uncertain when Hamilton may be cleared to return to action. Shawn O'Malley has started the last two games in left field for the Angels.
