Zimmerman (hamstring) went through a full workout with the Nationals' instructional league team Monday and will play three innings of offense and defense (first base) in a simulated game Tuesday. Following Tuesday's action, Zimmerman is expected to play five innings Wednesday, play as the designated hitter on Thursday, and then the Nationals will evaluate what the next step in his rehab will be. It's looking like a return to the Nationals during the final two weeks of the regular season is a possibility, but it has already been reported that upon his return, he won't be an everyday player, so there's still very little single-season fantasy upside here. He could very well be a key part of a postseason run, however, which is all Washington is worried about.
