Desmond left Tuesday's game with lower-back tightness, and it is not believed to be serious, MASN's Dan Kolko reports. It doesn't sound like Desmond will miss much time with the ailing back, but if he does, look for Danny Espinosa to fill in for him at shortstop. Consider the Nationals' starting shortstop day-to-day for now.
