Adams is dealing with a left oblique strain and should be considered "day-to-day," Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Adams was left out of Thursday's starting lineup, and may not be available at all for the night game. His status should be made clearer following batting practice, but if swinging a bat still causes discomfort to his ailing oblique, he could risk missing an extra day or two as a precaution.
