Morse has been diagnosed with a strained oblique and will likely miss the remainder of the Giants' road trip, Alex Pavlovic of the Mercury News reports. This means Morse will be out until at least Sept. 9, when a three-game series begins at home against the Diamondbacks. Travis Ishikawa figures to see most of the work at first base in the interim, and those in shallower leagues may want to look for other options, as the injury could conceivably keep Morse out for more than a the estimated one-week timetable.
