Ross (calf) was activated from the 15-day DL on Monday. A left calf strain pushed Ross to the DL back on July 22, but he showed enough during batting practice and running drills last weekend to warrant activation. The 31-year-old has hit just .238/.287/.306 with two homers in 66 games with Arizona this season, and his opportunities to start may be limited over the final month, with A.J. Pollock (hand) also likely to return to an outfield mix that now includes Nolan Reimold.
