Saltalamacchia is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Angels, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports. Saltalamacchia will take his eight-game hitting streak to the bench Wednesday, though he may very well get a chance to extend it in a pinch-hit appearance. Jeff Mathis will step in behind the plate, with Reed Johnson serving as the DH against lefty Hector Santiago.
