Grandal recorded a career-best four RBI via a three-run homer and a sac fly during Sunday's victory in Arizona. Earning his 11th career nod at first base, Grandal continues to share catching duties with Rene Rivera just one year removed from a torn ACL. No matter, Grandal continues to display a power stroke, as the long ball marked his fourth in 79 at-bats since the All-Star break. While his prospects with the Padres beyond 2014 are up in the air due to Rivera's preeminent defense and the presence of super prospect Austin Hedges in the minors, Grandal should log enough time to be of value in numerous formats during this season's stretch run.
