Plouffe (.245/.312/.407) hit his tenth homer of the year on Friday against the Tigers, as he went 3-for-6 with four runs scored and three RBI. Poor Andrew Romine just tried to do his part, taking one for the team on a night where Tigers pitching gave up 20 runs. Fortunately for Plouffe, he was able to pad his stats on the night with a 422-foot blast off Romine, normally an infielder. Plouffe is currently on pace for career bests in at-bats, runs and RBI.
