Miley tossed 6.2 scoreless innings at Washington on Thursday, but did not factor in the decision. He allowed eight hits and six walks while striking out four batters. Miley allowed at least two baserunners in six of the seven innings he pitched, but was aided by three double plays. The crafty lefty has made three quality starts since his 10-run disaster on August 5. In terms of ERA and WHIP, Miley has been just serviceable this year, although he's been a pleasant surprise in strikeouts, racking up 157 Ks in 170 innings. He's got a tough matchup in his next turn, taking on the Dodgers at home.
