Suzuki is out of the lineup Wednesday against the Indians, Tyler Mason of FOX Sports North reports. Suzuki's absence seems odd considering he received a day off on Monday, but perhaps manager Ron Gardenhire is just looking to preserve him for the final stanza of the season. The Twins have made it clear that Suzuki is a player they value by virtue of the two-year contract extension he received in July, so he could receive some time off down the stretch as the team looks to give some of their less experienced catchers (such as Josmil Pinto) some at-bats.
