Tomlin lasted 4.1 innings Tuesday, giving up six runs on eight hits in a loss to the Reds. He walked one and struck out five. Tomlin (5-8) didn't do much to help his cause for a prolonged stay in the big leagues, allowing runs in the first, second, fourth and fifth innings to a Reds squad that had lost 10 straight at Progressive Field. The 29-year-old's ERA rose to 4.75 in this one to go along with a 1.23 WHIP, 82 strikeouts and a surprisingly decent 11:88 BB:K, with a sizeable portion of his struggles due to the team-worst 17 long balls he's served up in less than 100 innings (91) this season.
