Yunel Escobar (shoulder) will begin a minor league rehab assignment with the Gulf Coast League Rays on Monday. He's scheduled to play shortstop there on Monday, DH on Tuesday and play shortstop at Class-A Charlotte on Wednesday. It looks as though he's on track to need just the minimum amount of time on the disabled list.
