Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said Saturday that Bronson Arroyo (elbow) is close to resuming activity. Arroyo couldn't straighten his arm out fully in the middle of last week, but he's evidently made progress over the last few days. "The thought is he's getting closer," Gibson said. "It's getting to time where he's gonna think about doing some stuff." Arroyo will try to pitch through a sprained ulnar collateral ligament, but Tommy John surgery remains a distinct possibility.
