Kendrys Morales hit his first homer as a Twin on Tuesday against the Angels. Josh Willingham took Angels' starter C.J. Wilson deep in the second inning, and Morales quickly followed with his first long fly since September 27. The veteran finished 1-for-3 with two RBI, also chipping in an RBI sac fly. Morales has had a strange beginning to his Twins' career, which perhaps could have been expected when he signed in mid-June and was immediately thrust into the starting lineup. He went 9-for-25 (.360) in his first six games, then entered Tuesday in an ugly 2-for-26 skid over his next seven contests. Prior to tonight, he hadn't clubbed an extra-base hit since his third game with the team on June 11. Hopefully Morales has started to slough off the rust wrought by a longer-than-usual winter.
