Tyler Chatwood has been diagnosed with a flexor strain and inflammation in his right elbow. The right-hander had already been placed on the disabled list, but now we have a clearer picture as to what exactly he's dealing with. Obviously it's not the best diagnosis, but it also could have been much worse. Chatwood figures to be shut down for a while before trying to ramp up his throwing again. There's no timetable for his return.
