Cubs signed INF Ryan Roberts to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training. It's a good landing spot for him, as the Cubs don't really have much at second or third base. Roberts batted just .247/.295/.377 with five homers and 17 RBI in 162 at-bats for the Rays in 2013, but he's versatile and won't have trouble cracking the Opening Day roster.
