Brewers claimed UTIL Elian Herrera off waivers from the Dodgers. The versatile 28-year-old received just eight plate appearances in the major leagues this summer. But he hit .282 with a .737 OPS in 476 plate appearances at the Triple-A level and can play all over the field defensively. The switch-hitting Herrera will likely be in the running for an Opening Day roster spot next spring in Brewers camp.
