He has a chance to become the ninth player -- fifth different -- to reach 50 for the Cardinals, joining Stan Musial (three times), Joe Medwick (twice), Albert Pujols (twice) and Enos Slaughter. The team record of 64, owned by Medwick, is almost certainly out of reach, though.
