Shane Robinson told reporters that Chris Carpenter's cutter was "virtually unhittable" on Wednesday. Robinson was one of a couple hitters standing in the box for Carpenter's 100-pitch simulated game at Busch Stadium and provided rave reviews afterward. Carp has been cleared to begin a minor league rehab assignment Monday at Double-A Springfield and could be allowed to join the Cardinals' starting rotation around early August.
