Mets recalled RHP Elvin Ramirez from Triple-A Buffalo. Ramirez will take the roster spot of Johan Santana, who was placed on the DL Saturday. He'll provide depth in the bullpen for the next few days until the Mets decide what to do with Santana's spot in the rotation. Earlier this season, Ramirez posted a 9.00 ERA and 2.71 WHIP over five appearances with the Mets.
