Orlando Hudson is expected to serve as a backup infielder for the White Sox, according to MLB.com. Hudson agreed to terms with the White Sox Saturday but hasn't yet finalized the agreement. The 34-year-old batted just .211/.260/.317 with five triples and 11 RBI prior to his release from the Padres. Hudson has never played another position outside of second base, but he is expected to get time at third in addition to backing up Gordon Beckham.
