Tim Dierkes of MLB Trade Rumors reports that the Cubs are nearing a minor league deal with Jason Jaramillo. The Pirates non-tendered Jaramillo earlier this month. He hit .326 (14-for-43) in the majors in 2011 and will act as organizational catching depth next year for Chicago.
