Pirates sent LHP Aaron Thompson outright to Triple-A Indianapolis. Thompson, who was claimed off waivers from the Nationals last December, made four appearances with the big club in August and September. While his command improved in the minors this season, the 24-year-old southpaw is missing less bats than ever before.
