Hanigan is hitting .250 (4-of-16) in eight spring games. The longer Christian Vazquez (elbow) remains out, the better chance we'll see Hanigan as Boston's primary starter at catcher to the start the season. Vazquez is scheduled for an MRI on Saturday and continues to catch in minor-league games, but is not yet full bore when throwing to bases.
