Ryu is not expected to be ready for Opening Day after he felt discomfort in his shoulder Sunday and was sent back to Los Angeles, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports. Ryu's status was already in limbo for Opening Day and on Sunday manager Don Mattingly admitted that Ryu will miss the beginning of the season. The 27-year-old will head back to the Dodgers' facilities to get treatment over the next few weeks but his availaibility moving forward is in serious question until the team gives him a firm timetable for a return to the mound. As a result, it may be wise to consider other options in place of Ryu.
