Lee (elbow) had a MRI which team doctor Michael Ciccotti said revealed very mild inflammation, the Philadelphia Daily News reports. "According to Dr. Ciccotti, there's a 1-to-2-millimeter area in length that was of some issue," GM Ruben Amaro Jr. said. "And then the width is 1 centimeter or something like that. It's very, very small, a very pinpointed area. And, again, there's very little edema or swelling or fluid in that area. But any time it's the elbow, you've got to be concerned about it." Lee's MRI will be sent to orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews for review as well. The soreness Lee is feeling is in the flexor pronator, which is the same area that bothered him last season. He is expected to start throwing again early this week to test the elbow. If Lee is sidelined into the regular season it creates an opportunity for Kevin Slowey or Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez to earn a rotation spot this spring.
