Jansen (foot) reported to camp Monday on crutches and says his foot cast will be replaced by a boot in five days, MLB.com's Ken Gurnick reports. This is simply a bookkeeping note, as Jansen's timetable remains the same. He is expected to miss 7-to-11 weeks, which makes it difficult to properly value him at the moment for 2015. He would have been a top-five closer in drafts if he entered camp healthy, but owners should now be prepared for him to miss at least the first two series of 2015, and he may not return until May. A favorite to close for the Dodgers while Jansen is out has not emerged, and they could opt to go bullpen by committee with J.P. Howell, Joel Peralta and others figuring into the mix.
