Seager spent the offseason working on hitting to all fields in hopes of beating the shift more often this season, the Seattle Times reports.Teams routinely used the shift last year against Seager, who hit 50 percent of his batted balls to the right side, only 21 percent to the left side. If he can go the other way more consistently, his average could get a boost.
