A deal to send Kemp to the Padres has been agreed upon, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports. The deal will reportedly send Kemp, along with catcher Tim Federowicz and roughly $30 million cash, to the Padres in exchange for catcher/first baseman Yasmani Grandal, pitcher Joe Wieland and a third player to be named. It will effectively end the logjam in the Dodgers' outfield, and open up an opportunity for top prospect Joc Pederson to see everyday reps. Kemp's fantasy value should improve with consistent playing time, but his power numbers may suffer a bit hitting in the spacious confines of Petco Park. Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times also confirms that the deal has been done.
