Profar (shoulder) is expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, MLB.com reports. The 21-year-old missed the entire 2014 season due to shoulder troubles, but an MRI in late October was "95 percent clean," according to GM Jon Daniels, and a follow-up MRI on Tuesday showed continued progression. The expectation is that Profar will start up with his throwing program in January, and if he continues without a setback -- which is certainly not a given considering he experienced a slew of them last season -- Profar should be able to make a strong bid to reclaim the starting second base job in spring training.
