Tejada, who originally was expected to be be non-tendered by the Mets, may now be offered a contract by the team, the NY Post reports. Tejada made $1.1 million in 2014 and is eligible for salary arbitration, which may take him up to $1.7 million. He is expected to be tendered due to the lack of clarity at shortstop for New York, making him a possible back up at that position as well as maybe second base.
