Archer posted another strong outing, allowing just one run on three hits while walking two and striking out six over 7.2 innings of a 1-0 loss to Cleveland on Friday night. Archer (10-9, 3.33 ERA) made just one mistake, a solo home run off the bat of Jose Ramirez in the first inning, but his mates couldn't dent the scoreboard against Indian's ace Corey Kluber. He suffered through a few brief rough stretches in 2014, but has recently built a lot of positive momentum heading into the off-season.
