Gallardo was brilliant Friday night, as he limited the Pirates to five hits and a walk while racking up 11 strikeouts across seven scoreless innings. Though the Brewers' bullpen squandered this outstanding effort from Gallardo, he deserves tremendous props for a clutch performance of this caliber. After struggling through his first couple of starts in September, the 28-year-old righty has put up back-to-back solid outings and will be in search of another one Thursday afternoon in Cincinnati.
